"Do you feel safe walking home at night? " That was the first question i asked during my investegations in this thesis. Through a feministic approach to architecture i transformed Møllegade 5 to an inclusive space, where you could feel, safe, seen and heard, at all ours of the day.
The design here should function as a multifunctional space, with room for office spaces and a midnight diner. The exterior of the building will be designed using dynamic elements playing with light, shadow, closed and open, causing radical shifts in atmosphere between night and day.
As a reaction to the unsafe feeling in the urban context, I have designed small scale movable elements that drive out into the night, creating small local gatherings, aiming to create a safe atmosphere in their immediate environment.
