”Circularity” aims to raise the issue of over consumption, essentially environmental as well as social sustainability, by placing itself in the heart of consumption.
Through transforming parts of the soon to be obsolete consumption temple Täby Centrum [located in Stockholm, Sweden], the project takes a stand. The transformation utilizes the negative outputs that the activity in the shopping mall produces, presents less space for retail and offer more space for the human. In the first phase of the project, the phase that I have explored throughout this thesis, housing thought the use of unconventional building materials has been developed. The transformation ultimately suggest a shift in focus, from consumption to circularity, community and social as well as environmental sustainability.
